Hey Boo! Privacy Policy
Hey Boo! is an iPhone app provided by We Love Media Inc. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the App Store version of Hey Boo!.
Your camera images and effects are processed on your iPhone. We do not receive your photos, face or eye analysis, or room-tracking data. Hey Boo! has no accounts, advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics.
Camera, faces, and effects
Hey Boo! uses camera access to show a live view and create fictional ghost and possession effects. It may detect people, bodies, faces, and eye landmarks to position ghosts, keep people in the foreground, and apply effects to eyes.
All of this analysis takes place on your iPhone. It is used only to create the effects, not to identify you or anyone else. We do not create identity profiles, use face analysis for advertising, or use your images to train AI models.
Live camera frames and analysis are held temporarily in memory while needed to render the effects. Face and eye landmarks are not saved as a separate record or sent to us or any third party. Photos you choose to take can include faces and the resulting effects, as described below.
Motion, depth, and room tracking
The app uses device motion and, on supported devices, camera-based room tracking, detected surfaces, depth information, and person segmentation to keep ghosts upright, place them in the scene, and hide them behind people or objects.
This information is processed on your device while the camera is in use. Hey Boo! does not save room maps or motion histories to files or send this information to us.
Photos and temporary files
When you take a photo, Hey Boo! creates an image with your selected effects and keeps a temporary copy in the app’s private storage so you can view and share it.
If you have allowed Photos access, each photo you take is automatically added to your Photos library. The app requests add-only access; it does not request permission to browse or read your existing photo library. If you decline Photos access, you can still take, view, and share photos within the app, but they will not be automatically added to your Photos library.
The app removes its temporary capture and sharing copies when it next starts. iOS may also clear temporary files. Deleting the app removes its local settings and temporary files. Photos already saved to your Photos library remain there until you delete them.
Settings
Hey Boo! remembers preferences such as your selected mode, ghost choices, counts, opacity, and Playful ghost height on your device. These preferences are not sent to us. They are removed when you delete the app.
Sharing and Apple services
Hey Boo! does not automatically upload your photos. If you choose to share a photo, iOS passes it to the app, service, or recipient you select. That destination’s own privacy practices apply.
If you use iCloud Photos or device backups, Apple may store or sync photos and app data according to your settings and Apple’s privacy policy. We do not operate or control those services. Apple also handles App Store purchases and payments; Hey Boo! does not receive your payment card details.
Diagnostics
Hey Boo! does not include its own analytics or crash-reporting service. Depending on your Apple settings, Apple may provide us with diagnostic reports about the App Store version. We use these reports to investigate problems and improve reliability.
Contacting us
If you email us, we receive your email address and any information or attachments you choose to provide. We use this information to respond to your request and troubleshoot issues. We keep support correspondence only as long as needed to handle the request and related follow-up, or as required by law. You can request deletion by contacting us.
We do not sell personal information or use support correspondence for advertising.
Your choices
You can change Camera, Photos, and any available motion permissions in your iPhone’s Settings. Camera access is needed to take pictures; Photos access is optional. You control whether to share a photo and what information to include in a support request.
We do not hold a server-side collection of your photos or face analysis, so there is no such collection for us to retrieve or delete. You can remove local app data by deleting the app and manage saved photos separately in Photos.
Children
The app’s on-device processing and privacy practices apply to all users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through support requests. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can address it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. We will publish the revised policy here and update the effective date. If a change requires additional notice or permission, we will provide it as required.
